Judge Margot Halcomb

Margot Halcomb serves as Judge in Butler County Common Pleas Court, Domestic Relations Division.  She was appointed to the bench in 2013 by Governor John R. Kasich and elected to her first full term in 2014.   Judge Halcomb obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University and received her law degree from Capital University Law School. She became licensed to practice law in 1993 and engaged in private practice with special interest in juvenile and family law. She served twelve years as Magistrate in the Hamilton Municipal Court. Prior to serving on the bench, she was a corporate Vice President at First Financial Bank, N.A. 

Judge Halcomb has an extensive record of community service.  She was recipient of the Integrity Award from the Butler County Domestic Violence Coordinating Council and honored for her volunteer work with the Butler County United Way.  She participated in Leadership Hamilton (2009) and is an active volunteer for youth mentoring programs.

Judge Halcomb is a member of the Hamilton Rotary Club; Butler County Bar Association; Ohio Association of Domestic Relations Judges; Ohio State Bar Association and American Judges Association. Judge Halcomb serves on the Ohio Judicial Conference Court Technology and Domestic Relations Law and Procedure Committees.
