Case Management

General Information

The Domestic Relations Court Case Management Office assists the public and legal community with answers to procedural questions and supplies various forms to parties.  See our Self Help Forms & Procedures page. The Case Management Office is available for questions concerning procedure or documents submission by phone, (513) 887-3100, select ext. 2, or email, CaseManagement@ButlerCountyOhio.org.  Your question or concern may be addressed on our Questions and Resources page. 

The following pleadings/documents are required by local rules to be reviewed the Case Management Office before filing with the Butler County Clerk of Courts:

  • All Complaints 
  • All Petitions for Dissolution
  • All Decrees
  • Answers
  • Counterclaims
  • Motions (including Continuances and Withdrawal of Counsel)
  • Agreed Entries
  • Separation Agreements
  • Shared Parenting Plans
  • Objections

Submission to the Case Management Office is not a filing of the legal action.  

Additionally, the Case Management Office is responsible for setting cases on all hearing officers' dockets.  To request or confirm a hearing date, please call (513) 887-3100, select ext. 2.
